CT819 High-Strength Rubber Repair Compound

CT819 is a high-strength fast-curing adhesive composed of three components: A (base adhesive), B (curing agent) and C (primer). It is mainly used to repair damages of elastomers such as rubber and polyurethane, including large-area damage repair of conveyor belts, lining rubber damage repair of wear-resistant pipelines, coating of belt fasteners, and restoration of various rubber products.

Features

  • Excellent Wear Resistance
It boasts outstanding wear resistance, resisting material friction and particle erosion. Its wear service life is 2 to 3 times that of ordinary rubber conveyor belts. It will not easily wear thin during long-term operation, effectively extending the service life of belts.
  • High Strength, High Elongation and Great Toughness
Featuring high strength, sufficient toughness and superior elongation at break, the repaired area resists tension and bending. It can deform dynamically along with the conveyor belt, and is not prone to cracking, tearing or debonding during equipment operation, delivering stable and durable repair effect.
  • Low Viscosity, Ideal for Large-Area Coating
With low viscosity and moderate fluidity, it creates little resistance during brushing, suitable for rapid large-area coating construction. It spreads evenly and is labor-saving to apply, greatly improving the efficiency of large-area repair work.
  • Simple and Efficient Operation
The construction process is straightforward without complicated pre-treatment. It is easy to brush and ready for immediate use, featuring high construction efficiency and fast curing speed. It drastically cuts emergency repair time and reduces equipment downtime.

Application Areas

  • Repair of damaged elastomers
    Repair of damaged elastomers
It is mainly used for repairing damaged elastomers such as rubber and polyurethane, including large-area damage repair of conveyor belts, lining rubber damage repair of wear-resistant pipelines, coating on belt fasteners, and restoration of various rubber products.

Application Method

Buffing:Use a tungsten carbide buffing disc to roughen the damaged rubber surface of the conveyor belt. Avoid polishing the surface or causing rubber scorching during buffing.

Cleaning & Drying:Thoroughly wipe the surface and residual debris with a neutral detergent until all contaminants are removed. Let the surface air-dry naturally or dry it with heating.

Primer Application:Apply an even single coat of rubber primer onto the pre-treated rubber surface. It takes around 15 minutes to dry at an ambient temperature of 25℃.

Mixing:Blend Component A and Component B at a weight ratio of 20:1. Stir rapidly and fully within 1 minute. Prepare the adhesive on demand and consume it entirely within the working time.

Coating:Apply the mixed adhesive to the treated rubber surface with a short-bristle brush or glue squeegee, and control the coating thickness within 2 mm.

Precautions

1.Flammable material. Store in sealed container under dry conditions.

2.Ensure adequate ventilation at the construction site.

3.Avoid contact with skin and eyes before curing. In case of accidental splashing into eyes, immediately flush thoroughly with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention.

4.Ensure adequate ventilation at the construction site.

5.Keep out of reach of children.
