CT316 High-Strength Wear-Resistant Primer

CT316 High-Strength Wear-Resistant Primer is a high-performance polymer composite material composed of modified toughened heat-resistant resin and modified curing agent. It is a special primer for repairing metal parts suffering severe erosion and shall be used together with CT317 High-Strength Wear-Resistant Coating.

Application Areas

  • Applicable for repairing metal components
    Applicable for repairing metal components
    It is a dedicated primer for repairing metal parts subject to severe erosion, to be used in conjunction with CT317 High-Strength Wear-Resistant Coating.

Application Method

1、Surface Treatment: Clean the surface of the area to be repaired to expose the base material, then roughen the base material thoroughly (the rougher the better). Clean with cleaning agent and leave to air-dry completely.

2、Mixing: Take appropriate amounts of Component A and Component B at the specified mixing ratio of 3:1, then stir thoroughly until homogeneous. The mixed material must be fully used within the specified working life (before it starts to turn tacky). Do not reuse material that has become sticky and hardened.
3、Application: Apply the mixed material onto the repair area with a recommended coating thickness of 0.2–0.5 mm to ensure full wetting of the substrate.
4、Apply CT317 High-Strength Wear-Resistant Coating before CT316 High-Strength Wear-Resistant Primer cures completely.

Precautions

1、All product parameters are obtained under laboratory test conditions. Given the complexity of actual working conditions, users are recommended to conduct pre-tests based on their on-site service environment.

2、The curing time will be extended when the ambient temperature for construction drops. Appropriate heating measures can be adopted to accelerate curing if required.

If the ambient temperature exceeds 25℃ or a large amount of material is mixed at one time, the curing speed will increase, and the available working time after mixing shall be shortened accordingly.

Shelf Life

Store hermetically in a cool and dry place with a shelf life of 1 year. Avoid upside-down placement and collision during transportation; ship as non-dangerous goods.
