Guangdong Anti-Corrosion Association Conducts Field Visit & Research at Changyuan Changtong New Materials | Industry Experts Inspect R&D Strength of Anti-Corrosion Coatings

A delegation headed by Qiu Qinghua, President of Guangdong Anti-Corrosion Association, visited Changyuan Changtong New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CYCT). Cao Bin, Chairman of the Company, extended a warm reception to the guests together with Yang Feicheng, Xiang Guowen, Bie Bo and other staff from the Technical Service Division. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges focusing on technological innovation, talent training and future development of the anti-corrosion industry.

01 On-Site Visit: Demonstrating Solid Technical Strength

Led personally by Chairman Cao Bin, the association delegation first toured the corporate exhibition hall, R&D Center and product performance testing laboratory certified by national CNAS. Chairman Cao Bin elaborated on CYCT’s 26 years of dedicated development in corrosion and protection, highlighting the company’s achievements in core technology R&D, market strategic layout and future development plans.

He emphasized that the anti-corrosion industry serves as an important pillar for safeguarding national energy security, stable operation of major infrastructure, and advancing the green and low-carbon development of economy and society. Adhering to the core values of "Integrity, Pragmatism, Professionalism and Innovation", CYCT delivers highly reliable protection products and systematic industry solutions through continuous technological breakthroughs.

02 Achievement Exhibition: Empowering National Major Projects

During the visit, CYCT showcased its achievements supporting national key energy projects. The exhibition hall displayed introductions to national-level projects including the 2nd, 3rd and 4th West-to-East Gas Transmission Pipelines, China-Russia Oil & Gas Pipelines, E-An-Cang Gas Pipeline, Sichuan-to-East Gas Transmission Pipeline and China-Myanmar Oil & Gas Pipelines, demonstrating the vital role of the company’s products and technologies in the safe operation of national energy lifelines.

The association experts showed strong interest in CYCT’s core product lines, including silicone, epoxy and polyurethane adhesives featuring high bonding strength, efficient thermal conductivity and reliable flame retardancy, as well as integrated solutions for cathodic protection testing, simulation and electric drainage to address complex stray current interference.

03 Talent Training: Building a Professional Training Platform

The research discussion then shifted focus to industrial talent cultivation. The delegation inspected CYCT’s outdoor professional training base for cathodic protection. Equipped with industry-leading complete cathodic protection simulation systems, professional testing instruments and real working-condition operation scenarios, the base is capable of delivering specialized training such as external pipeline inspection and cathodic protection testing, as introduced by Manager Yang Feicheng.

For consecutive years, CYCT has co-organized the CPL series of professional skill training courses on cathodic protection, cultivating hundreds of technical backbones for PipeChina, PetroChina, Sinopec and numerous local gas companies, effectively easing the industry’s shortage of skilled technicians.

Guangdong Anti-Corrosion Association spoke highly of CYCT’s practice of "boosting technology via training and revitalizing the industry through talents", which fully reflects the social responsibility of an industry leader. Both sides reached extensive consensus on jointly launching training programs for pipeline coating inspection and cathodic protection testing, co-establishing an industrial talent training system and deepening integration between industry and education.
